At The Regional Center for Dental Implants & Oral Surgery, our board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Matthew Sherban, is trained to provide several facial cosmetic services, including BOTOX^®, chemical peels, and facial fillers. These services help to reduce the signs of aging, improve the skin’s appearance, bring balance to the facial structure, and increase self-confidence. The facial cosmetic treatments offered at our practice are noninvasive and performed in the same state-of-the-art setting as our surgical procedures. BOTOX

BOTOX is a popular treatment to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. BOTOX works by temporarily preventing a muscle from moving. The injections are performed using a very fine needle and administered into a targeted area or areas. BOTOX is commonly used to treat frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet.

Dr. Sherban will discuss what to expect from BOTOX beforehand and answer any questions you may have. Getting BOTOX only takes a few minutes, and no anesthesia is required. There is also no downtime—you are free to resume your normal activities right away! The effects of BOTOX can be noticed as soon as 3–4 days after the injection, with full effects noticed between 10 and 14 days and lasting anywhere from 3–6 months.

Facial Fillers

As we age, the fat beneath our skin diminishes, causing wrinkles and sagging skin. Facial fillers restore volume to the face while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, restoring a youthful appearance. There are several types of facial fillers available today, including JUVÉDERM^®. We will discuss your options for treatment and create a plan to help you achieve your cosmetic goals.

JUVÉDERM is an FDA-approved hyaluronic acid filler that is effective for deeper lines and wrinkles. Common areas include around the mouth and nose, but can also be used in the lips and cheeks and around the eyes. There is no downtime, results are instant, and can last up to 1 year.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels treat many different skin irregularities to bring a smoother, more youthful appearance to the face and neck. It can be used to treat uneven skin tone, acne scars, wrinkles, sun damage, and more. Chemical peels work by using a special solution that removes the damaged outer layer of skin.

There are three different types of chemical peels: superficial, medium, and deep. The type and severity of the condition that you want to treat, as well as your cosmetic goals, will help Dr. Sherban to determine the type of chemical peel that is right for you.
